About Me

I am Vikram: A simple guy: tinkerer, swimmer, social worker, and world traveler. I write my experiences in this blog and hope to send a positive message. I try to be useful in my small way whenever possible.

  • I am a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon. I research technology to support social change. Although it’s a doctoral program, I am not a real doctor 🙂
  • My hobby is long-distance swimming and I have had the good fortune of raising money for charity on several occasions through my swims. Although I have been practicing for 10 years, I only know freestyle.
  • Lastly,  I am a good babysitter. I have had the fortune of playing and learning from children from across the globe. I also help teach children Kannada at SV temple in Pittsburgh (or they teach me).

My friends from undergrad call me Munday. I was termed so because I was/am a gullible and often dramatic person. My blogs reflect my simplistic worldview as I travel the world.

Thanks for stopping by and feel free to say Hi or give me feedback on my writing.
